Lawren Rich

Manitoba contemporary painter Lawren Rich (he/they) has been producing high quality, innovative, original artwork for over 30 years. Their original studies began in graphic design in the 80s, shifting from large scale mural work to fine art on canvas over the years. Their unique vision and experiences are reflected in works that address their  passions for rural, animal, and cityscape themes to the conceptually abstracted themes they currently enjoys exploring. These pieces are informed by their life long love of the prairies.

Lawren’s work can be seen in galleries, homes and businesses throughout the province and across Canada. Custom, one of a kind, commissions make up a large portion of his portfolio.

Lawren also plays contemporary guitar and double bass part time in various formats at small venues around Winnipeg and the Manitoba area. Their approach to music follows the same lines as their art; expressive, creative and personal with an emphasis on space and vitality.
