Feels Like Summer
A group exhibition featuring Jamie McCallum and other Gallery Artists
May 24 – June 7, 2025
We’re pleased to present, “Feels Like Summer,” an exhibition of new paintings by Manitoba artist, Jamie McCallum, and several other Gallery Artists. Imbibe on luscious brushstrokes and bursts of tantalizing colour as we explore that ‘Summer Feeling.’
Whether you enjoy a cold beverage while lounging by the pool, communing with nature on long hikes, or sitting with friends around a bonfire, Summer is a little slice of heaven after our long, cold Winter. Let the good times roll and commemorate them with a painting for the cottage and home.
Jamie McCallum lives just outside of Riding Mountain National Park and grew up on a cattle ranch just south of Brandon, Manitoba, where she developed a deep appreciation for the prairies. After studying graphic design in North Dakota, McCallum moved to British Columbia where she practiced her art alongside friend and mentor, Angela Morgan.
McCallum’s whimsical paintings push visual proportions, challenging the boundaries of colour, form, and texture with sensuous oil paints. Her work is reflective of her roots to the prairies and ’the farm girl [she has] always been.’
Slap on your sunshades and a pair of sandals and join us for the Opening Reception on Saturday, May 24th between 1:00pm to 4:00pm and meet Jamie in person! Light refreshments provided.
